We believe it takes a village to raise a child to know and follow Jesus. At Hope, We want to partner with parents and be part of that village.

We are not trying to create a kid’s table and an adult table in our church family. We want to create one intergenerational table which is a bit messy, yet beautiful. This family equipping model integrates children into the worshiping life of the church while giving tools to parents so they can disciple their children. This doesn’t mean we don’t have some age specific opportunities, but it does mean that the entire church plays a role in helping the next generation know and follow Jesus.

UP:  We encourage kids to participate in worship with their families on a weekly basis. To help kids grow in their understanding of worship, we have children's messages twice a month, a specific learning time during the sermon once a month and worship activities to help them connect with the message each week.

IN:  We work hard at including kids in most of our community gatherings, but also realize they benefit from learning with peers. Throughout the year we have specific gatherings from Art Camp to Anchor Night gatherings which help kids know and follow Jesus.

OUT:  At Hope there are opportunities for kids to get involved outside of the church walls. The first Saturday of the month we meet at Lake Forest Baptist Church to serve a pancake breakfast with our friends at Vigilant Hope. Kids are welcome and encouraged to join with adult supervision. We also encourage kids to invite friends to Hope events! As children learn more about Jesus we hope they will grow more eager to share what he has done with their families and friends. Children can live missionally by serving others, sharing the good news about Jesus, and praying for people in and outside of our community!

Hope Kids Ministries

Baby Room (0-23 Months)

This room is for babies 0-23 months There will be a nursery staff member and a volunteer that will attend to your children’s needs in the back while you are attending the worship service. The ratio in the babies room is 3:1. There is a designated area in the back of the auditorium where they can privately nurse while listening to service.

Toddler- Preschool (24months- 5 years)

This room will be open in the back every Sunday and will have one nursery staff and a volunteer working with children ages 2-5. The Hope Kid’s staff and volunteer will facilitate a short bible lesson and activity for this age group. Kids will learn about the bible, listen to music, and engage in fun learning activities while parents are in worship. As we grow in number of children and volunteers, we will then determine if we need to create additional classrooms.

Elementary Ministry

Interactive worship resources are offered every Sunday for kids who join us in worship. In addition, twice per month a children's specific message will be offered during worship. The last Sunday of the month during our worship gathering, kids are invited to a gathering focused on helping them learn more about the love and mission of Jesus. In the Summer we offer kids programming for kids during our Anchor Nights and also an Art Camp where kids celebrate our creative God.
